Weapons
| Beam Weapons |
Generically, the beam weapon produces a stream of energy that travels
directly towards the enemy at light speed or near light speed. The
output of the weapon can be sustained until it shuts itself off, runs
out of energy, or melts itself. |
| Bolt Weapons |
The bolt weapon produces self-contained energy
projectiles of a given size which are propelled directly at the
enemy. They may or may not travel at or near light speed depending
on their method of propulsion. |
| Guns |
Guns fire one or more projectiles whose sole
propulsion comes from the initial launch by the gun. |
| Missiles |

Launched from a ship, missiles become self propelled
and generally guide themselves toward the intended target.
Missiles are available with an astounding array of warhead,
propulsion, detonation, and guidance types. |

Often rare, special weapons are under controlled
distribution by their inventors, designed for specific effect or
just don't fit anywhere else. |
