The Republic of Domos is a limited democracy based on a one-party “Eliminotocracy” system. Domos is ruled by a Council of five members. Every year the weakest member is voted out and replaced by someone stronger. Dual elections are held, the first of which nominates a replacement Candidate. In a second election, one of the existing five Councillors is selected to be removed from the council.  

Every five years, the Council designates a certain number of Principalities for each member of the Republic based on its current power and economic sway. The citizens of each Principality participate in both the Canditory Vote and the Abrogatory Vote. The results from each Principality count as one vote toward the result for the entire Republic.    

Each year, once the new Councillor is in place, the Council appoints local Magistrates that oversee the rule of the Principalities that make up the Republic. Members of the Republic have local political systems and determine local governance and leadership, who must work with the Magistrate to coordinate local matters with the rest of the Republic.  

Essentially, the people determine who sits on the Council. The Council determines the jurisdictional breakdown of who will vote and determine the local leaders of the Principalities.  

From a rocky and mountainous area of Llothu, The Domons have a culture based on simplicity and hardship. They are a mixture of a variety of tribes from the area who, after hundreds of years of infighting and interbreeding, gradually melded into a single country and, subsequently, empire. Historically, they made up for lack of resources by always being cutting edge of technology, processing, and manufacturing and still aggressively continue the tradition.
