Hoss Performance
We wanted to build a small, compact system that would make your neighbour's regular desktop blush. We feel that too many times, "mini" means cheap and "compact" means slow. We've put together the most important technologies available today so having a "nice little system" won't mean you're limited in what it can do.
AMD
If you choose the Hoss with the Athlon XP 2600+, you've got plenty of processing power to tear through whatever applications or games you throw at it. Stock, you've got 512MB of
dual channel DDR memory
running at 333MHz and on-board nForce MX graphics... using the same technology found on AGP GeForce MX440 boards. There's an open AGP slot if you're looking to add a video accelerator card, which will also allow you to run dual channel DDR400 memory.
Intel
If you take the Hoss with the Intel Pentium4c, you're getting one of today's most advanced processors, capable of "hyper-threading" or processing two sets of commands of once. You'll be getting 512MB of
DDR400 memory with dual channel access
. Onboard Intel Extreme Graphics 2 will handle your video needs.
